Western Fortunes inducted Judge Cash into the Legends program in 2019.

Million dollar sire, “The Judge” will never be forgotten and his legacy will carry on for generations to come through his offspring.

Owner, Scottie Johnson of Cross Country Ranch in Culver, Oregon, had to say farewell to her beloved and beautiful Judge Cash as he was humanely euthanized due to colic at the age of 30 on September 18, 2017.

Judge Cash, a 1987 grey by Dash for Cash and out of Mary Mito by Mito Paint (TB), was laid to rest at his home, Cross Country Ranch in Culver, Oregon.
Not only did Judge Cash make a remarkable impact on the industry with offspring earnings, titles, and recognition he proved to be one of the most notable broodmare sires of his generation.

Judge Cash had racetrack earnings of $115,936, a speed index of 110 and ran in the prestigious All-American Futurity as a 2-year-old.

Judge Cash sired barrel racing earners of more than $1.3 million and racetrack earners of more than $1 million.

Judge Cash has produced NFR qualifiers including, Quick Judge owned by Amy Dale, six-time NFR qualifier and 2010 American Quarter Horse Association/Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Barrel Horse of the Year, Judge Buy Cash owned by Brenda Mays, NFR and All-American Qualifier, KG Justiceweexpected owned by Kathy Grimes and Junior NFR qualifier, Cash Mia If U Can owned by Jordan Bailey.

These are just a few of the many progeny accomplishments as the list is endless. And as we say “goodbye” to one of the all-time greats we will watch for generations to come his descendants break records and make it to the winner’s circle.
